Head of IT & Digital.

Job Description
  • Willing to relocate to Indonesia – Jakarta / Kerinci or Malaysia - KL.

  • Develop overall plan and annual budgets to support the demand (ie resource planning, infra, etc).

  • Work closely with the business team to execute projects within timelines and budget.

  • Responsible to provided cost estimates for PMO to generate and issue the SOW and Support  PMO with information request on data / evidence of business outcome, where applicable.

  • Manage business team expectations with regular reporting and explanation of requirements of analysis, specification, design of projects on a technical and nontechnical basis.

  • Identify and manage project risk and maintain project plan – There will be a dedicated project manager assigned to the digital and IT project supporting this role.

  • Manage external contractors and in-house staff to ensure they produce on deadline.

  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key contacts.

  • Work with project management team on improvements of digital and IT systems.

  • Define and execute our digital strategy and solutions roadmap. This role will work closely with a cross-disciplinary team, including technology, business team, marketing and country teams with a goal to drive digital adoption.

  • Continually drive products towards a meaningful balance between user needs, business objectives and technical feasibility.

  • Own the execution of mobility solutions and ensure that the solution works per the agreed architecture, SLAs, KPIs and business model.

  • Identifying and defining business and operational KPIs that would help Digital RGE to achieve digital goals and objectives.

  • Recommending tools and platforms that would help implement the defined use cases.

  • Support evaluation of vendor’s digital platform, architectures and propose the right solution that best fits RGE’s business requirements.


To be successful in this role, it is recommended that you should have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Energy, drive and passion to work, and operate in a digital world.

  • Ability to operate in a start-up mentality and unstructured environment.

  • 12+ years of experience working in the technology domain – at-least 2+ years of experience in the digital technology (mobile or web or cloud or analytics or others).

  • Strong experience in tech coding (C/Java/Javascript/Python or any other languages).

  • Some knowledge and exposure working with ERP platforms like SAP.

  • Exposure to architecture (SOA/Microservices) and database (SQL/NoSQL).

  • Candidates with prior experience with Agile & DevOps methodology including exposure to CI/CD tools, Jenkins, etc. would be preferred.

  • Outstanding collaboration, interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills in English a must. Bahasa and Mandarin knowledge will be advantageous.

  • Process manufacturing technology & system exposure for Pulp and Paper Manufacturing, Palm Oil refining and Viscose Fibre Manufacturing will be a bonus.

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Software engineering/computer science/ MIS/Engineering or related discipline.
